Rochester Sensor’s high temperature float switches provide consistent reliable switch points in high temperature and other extreme applications. These sensors are made with durable stainless steel floats that slide on a stainless-steel stem. As the float moves over the high temperature rated internal switch, its built in magnetic field activates the reliable switch. High temperature level switches can be mounted on top of the tank, the side of the tank or from the bottom of the tank. High temperature rated Teflon wire or optional Kynar cable protects the lead wires as they exit the high temperature environment. These specially designed temperature sensing switches can operate in temperatures up to 500F with special considerations.

Typical Applications

Special designed high temperature float switches are needed when the maximum temperature of your application exceeds 300F. With special high temperature design considerations, a sensor can be used in temperatures up to 500F. These high temperature sensors are typically used in hot oil applications, heated cleaning applications, steam applications, lubrication etc. These sensors are used in high temperature applications to provide high level alarm, low level alarm and process level points. In addition, integrated temperature sensors for optional temperature monitoring is available.
